Conditional Assessment Summary of Needs

  • Site:  New building: site is in very good condition. Items that scored poorly include site perimeter fencing, traffic flow, playground surface (mulch).
  • ArchitecturalBuilding exterior walls / windows / doors are in excellent condition. Spray foam roof is in excellent condition. Interior is in excellent condition.
  • Interiors:  Slate Run Elementary School moved into a new facility in 2018, with all structures and furnishings being new as of that date and are still in good condition.
  • Mechanical:  The Central Plant is in new condition, including chillers, pumps, and boilers. Air Handling Units and split systems are in new condition. Exhaust fans are in new condition. Classrooms are conditioned by new vertical unit ventilators.
    • HVAC Controls:  New Schneider Controls in 2019.
  • Electrical:  Building in excellent condition, built in 2019.
  • PlumbingBuilding in excellent condition, built in 2019. Even though it is a newer, the above section about the spray foam roof applies to this school.
  • Technology:
    • No electronic door monitoring.  Staff walk around building at day’s end to check doors. 
    • Video surveillance. A lot of blind spots around the exterior of the buildings.
    • Classroom A/V. In working condition but getting dated.  They are planning projects to update.
