New Albany Floyd County Schools (NAFCS) is working with Schmidt Associates, Inc. to prepare a 10-year Master Plan for the district. The Master Plan will primarily focus on facility needs based on a conditional assessment and space utilization review of all buildings. The conditional assessment considers the conditions of all systems for each building; architectural, interiors, furniture, site, MEP, and technology. The space utilization study considers student population, number of staff, and square footage of each building, along with programs offered or building use, to determine short and long-term needs for each building in order to meet the needs of the community, district, and staff, while delivering the best learning opportunities for all students.
